Michael R. Davis
Day job: Founder of The DAVIS Experience
Description: Michael’s love of architecture began at the age of five when he was mesmerized by a blueprint for a home his parents were building. A God-given talent for drawing, a love for construction nurtured by his Great Aunt Lois, and several generations of builders in the family lineage set the stage for Michael’s professional career as an architect, strategic thinker, developer and entrepreneur.
Passionately committed to enriching the human experience, Davis views the present world and its current economic turmoil as a perfect laboratory for the reinvention of a beloved profession that has been increasingly marginalized. Employing the best and brightest and never content to rest on his laurels, Davis is creatively destroying tired and haggard approaches in an industry that clearly needs to be remade for radical, innovative and progressive ideas and 21st century entrepreneurial thinking.
In his spare time, this Renaissance man is passionate about theology, mountain climbing (recently summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro -19,340’), acrylic and watercolor painting, and developing his and his wife Lisa’s three outstanding children. They are: daughter Taylor, a senior at the Notre Dame College of Architecture; daughter Landry, a junior and Communications major at the University of Arizona; and son Jack, adventurer, Tae Kwando Red belt, budding entrepreneur, aspiring architect and graphic artist.
