Description: Mark Guarino is a playwright and journalist. Several of his plays have been produced in Chicago, the most recent being “All the Fame of Lofty Deeds,” produced by The House Theatre of Chicago and featuring the music of Jon Langford.
Mark has been the recipient of numerous fellowships and artist residencies, including the Walter E. Dakin Fellowship at the Sewanee Writers Conference (University of the South). He covers the Midwest as a staff writer for The Christian Science Monitor. His byline appears frequently in New York Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Mojo, Chicago Magazine and many other publications.
