Day job: Creative Director, SapientNitro

Description: Once called the “sausage king of Chicago,” David currently spends most of his days grinding out large experience design initiatives as a Creative Director with the Chicago arm of SapientNitro, serving up red-hot solutions for folks like Target, the Washington Post, and John Deere. His elusive “free time” finds him cartooning with his two daughters or teaching them Photoshop keyboard shortcuts when not planning the latest addition to the home tiki bar. How does he describe his job in four words? “I make them Internets.”

Superpower: After all the quirky, clever possibilities and assorted digs at Aquaman are set aside, at the end of the day, there’s nothing wrong with a little tried and true “ability to control time.” There’s never enough of it, and most of us are just wasting it anyways, without even realizing it. So not just the ability to shape and adjust the perception and utilization of “time,” but the ability to know if that time was being well-spent. I think even ol’ Superman would appreciate that power – “To hell with putting out that fire, I’m going to sit here and enjoy five more minutes of quality time with Krypto.” Does a pet with a cape count as a super power? That would be handy too . . .
