Carolyn Chandler (Manifest Digital) will be at UXXU 2011

Carolyn Chandler

Day job: UX Director, Manifest Digital

Description: Carolyn Chandler is the co-author of A Project Guide to UX Design and an adjunct professor for DePaul’s Human-Computer Interaction program. She pursued an interest in Anthropology and realized quickly that she could learn a lot about people by watching as they’re inspired or challenged by new technology – whether they’re in the bush or behind a desk.

Carolyn is driven to help business, technology, and design teams realize their creative potential using techniques in facilitation and design, which she has developed during her 10+ years managing user experience teams for technology projects. She is also always on the lookout for those individuals who approach old problems in innovative ways, and explores their endeavors as co-host of The New Architect.

Here’s how she describes the UX job: “You know those times when you want to throw your computer out the window? UX designers are trying to make them extinct.”
