Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley sent a letter today to UX4Good, wishing us well and thanking the designers for their coming work. The letter reads:
“As Mayor and on behalf of the City of Chicago, I welcome everyone participating in the UX4Good design competition.
Featuring five design challenges focused on unemployment, urban violence, public education, community mental health and cross-cultural understanding, this event promises to foster solutions and act as a catalyst for keeping our communities growing and vibrant. The development and exchange of ideas is certain to be mutually beneficial and will help improve our communities and enhance the quality of life for all citizens. I send my best wishes to everyone for fruitful dialogue on best practices and planning issues.
Allow me to thank all the participants, designers, non-profit leaders, volunteers and many companies and organizations for their support and invaluable contributions to making our cities better places to live, work and raise families.”
